报告摘要Recent years have seen a growing interest in the exploration of unconventional physical phenomena in non-Hermitian systems. Non-Hermiticity is particularly relevant to continuously monitored quantum many-body systems, offering a distinct perspective compared to the master-equation approach, which relies on averaging outcomes. The dynamics governed by non-Hermitian physics are inherently nontrivial, characterized by features such as point-gap topology and the emergence of the non-Hermitian skin effect. In this talk, I will begin with an overview of non-Hermitian phenomena. I will then present our recent research, focusing on the nonlinearity-driven morphing and control of topological modes, as well as the unique dressed states that arise from atom-photon coupling within a non-Hermitian topological bath.

报告人简介:刘涛,华南理工大学物理与光电学院教授。2014年博士毕业于新加坡南洋理工大学,其后分别在新加坡南洋理工大学和日本理化学研究所Franco Nori课题组从事博士后研究,2018年获日本学术振兴会外国人特别研究员。研究方向为量子物质与量子光学,包括拓扑物态、非厄米物理以及波导量子电动力学。已在Physical Review Letters, Nature Communications以及Physical Review A/B/Research等期刊发表论文40余篇,主持和参与国自然面上和重点项目、广东省重大重点以及珠江人才计划引进创新团队项目等。
